as the steering wheel from the Lupo GTI, but you must not change the ''slipring with EPC''
from the ''GTI steering wheel'' against the ''slipring without EPC'' from the normaly ''6X steering wheel''

and you can change to the steering weel from gti without any modifications.

Yes thats right, the ''steering weels with esp'' for all Lupos are the same ''steering weels''
as from the last Polo 6N and have the same numbers.

Sorry i think you must change your steering weel against the ''steering wheel (leather) black/red 6X0419091G HYL 194.88 €'', that ist for the normaly Lupo 6X.

The steering wheel (gti-steering wheel) ''6N0419091L HYL''(Steering wheel for vehicles with Airbag and electronic stability program) is only for the gti and other lupo with esp (electronic stability program).

Or you must change the sliping ring, but that is not very easy and without garantie that it works perfektly.

I dont't understand why ESP is important to the steeringwheel?
can you explain that?
I know the idea of esp but can't understand in which context it is with the steering.

The ESP is connected with the steering wheel to get the steering angle of the car. Thats why you have a different slipring.

Is it really that hard to change the slipring to a 'normal' one..? I've once heard you can change the normal steering wheel to the magnesia one from the 3l Lupo but VW has to change the slipring which will cost around 50 EUR.

The slipring is on the backside of the steerinwhell,
between the steeringwheel and the steeringcollum.

Yes you can buy the GTI steerinwheel complete with airbag,
but you must change the slipring from Lupo GTI against the sleepring from your Lupo(6X) steeringwheel.
